Carlos Pino-Quintana was born in Caracas/Venezuela. After gathering first musical experience in the “National Juvenile Orchestra Venezuela – El Sistema”, he studies piano, double bass and composition.
After that, he moves to Austria to study conducting at the “Conservatory of the City of Vienna”.
In January 1999, he receives the first prize at the II. International Conductor’s Competition of the Chamber Orchestra of Elche/Spain. From that moment until now, he conducts different orchestras and ensembles as: Chamber Orchestra Of Elche, Orchestra from Vienna Conservatory, Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra (Caracas), “Simón Bolivar” Sympohny Orchestra from Venezuela. He performances regularly with “ton.pendium Ensemble Wien” at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
As composer and music arranger very demanded, he writes music for several medias and styles (concert music, ballet and theater music as well as sound tracks). His work has been premiered for example at Bolshoi-Theater Moscow, Wiener Konzerthaus and at the Volksoper Wien.
